Client Narrative Stories
What this page is for
Client Narrative Stories is the client dashboard page for saving reusable repair narrative examples for your workspace.
Narrative stories are saved examples of wording your team can reuse when writing technician stories. A narrative can include a title, vehicle make, vehicle model, cause information, and the final narrative text.
This page manages saved narratives. It is not the AI generation screen. Technicians use the saved narratives from the tools workspace when they need a reference example for similar work.
Business Group sharing lets client users in the same business group see each other's saved narratives as shared, read-only examples.
How to open the page
Step 1 - Sign in as the client user. Use the client dashboard login, not an Account ID tools login.
Step 2 - Open Narratives. From the client dashboard sidebar, choose Narratives.
Step 3 - Confirm you are on the right page. The page title is Narratives and the page address is /client/dashboard/narrative-stories.
Business Group
Business Group is the sharing area on the left side of the page.
Create Group creates one business group for your client workspace. Enter the group name in Group Name and select Create Group.
Group Name should be the dealership group, shop group, or company group name that should share narrative examples.
Invite Member appears when you own a business group. Enter the other client user's email address and select Invite.
Group Members shows the client users currently connected to the business group and their group role.
Group Invitations shows pending invitations sent to your client user email. Select Join Group to accept an invitation.
Leave Group appears when you are a group member but not the owner. Use it when your client user should stop seeing shared narratives from that group.
Delete Group appears when you are the group owner. Use it only when the business group should be removed. Deleting the group stops group sharing, but each user keeps their own saved narratives.
Create Narrative
Create Narrative is the form used to save a new narrative example.
Step 1 - Enter a Title. Use a clear title that your team can search later, such as the vehicle, symptom, repair type, or common job name.
Step 2 - Enter Make. Add the vehicle make when the example is make-specific.
Step 3 - Enter Model. Add the vehicle model when the example is model-specific.
Step 4 - Enter Cause. Use Cause when you want to save the confirmed failure, root cause, or reason for the repair. This field is optional.
Step 5 - Enter Narrative. Add the full story text your team should use as the example.
Step 6 - Save Narrative. Select Save Narrative. The button is available after Title and Narrative are filled in.
Managed Narratives
Managed Narratives is the saved narrative list at the bottom of the page.
Showing count tells you how many narratives are visible on the current page and how many matching narratives exist in total.
Search titles filters the list by narrative title. Enter a title keyword and select the search button.
Clear search removes the current search and returns the list to the normal view.
Previous and Next move between pages when more than one page of narratives exists.
Narrative preview shows the first few words of each saved narrative so you can identify the right record quickly.
Edit a Narrative
Step 1 - Find the narrative. Use the Managed Narratives list or search box.
Step 2 - Open actions. Select the three-dot actions button on the narrative row.
Step 3 - Select Edit. The narrative opens in the form above.
Step 4 - Update the fields. Change the title, make, model, cause, or narrative text as needed.
Step 5 - Save Narrative. Select Save Narrative to keep the changes.
Cancel exits edit mode and clears the form without saving the current edits.
Delete a Narrative
Step 1 - Find the narrative. Use the Managed Narratives list or search box.
Step 2 - Open actions. Select the three-dot actions button on the narrative row.
Step 3 - Select Delete. The narrative is removed from your managed narratives.
Shared read-only narratives may not show edit or delete actions. If a narrative is shared with you by another group member, you can view it but you cannot change or delete it.
How technicians use these narratives
Personal narratives are narratives saved by your client account.
Shared narratives are narratives saved by another client user in your business group.
Global narratives are default examples supplied by SynaNoteAI.
Technician Narrative Stories tool lets Account ID users search and view available personal, shared, and global narratives from the tools workspace.
Copy actions in the technician tool let technicians copy the Cause or Narrative text into another document, repair order, or tool workflow.
