Getting Started
Purpose
This section explains how to enter the app correctly and how the client dashboard and tools workspace fit together.
Two parts of the app
The client dashboard is for the customer-side user who manages the account and the client workspace. The tools workspace is for the user created by the client to work inside a role such as technician, service advisor, sales, manager, or warranty.
Registration flow
Registration starts on the public signup route at Create Your Workspace. That page is the client-user registration flow, not the tool-user flow. The signup form collects email, password, and password confirmation, and the page itself tells the user that account creation is followed by email confirmation and onboarding.
After the signup form is submitted, the user confirms their email and is then redirected into onboarding to continue setting up the account before entering the dashboard.
Onboarding then guides the client through the remaining account setup. In this step, the client completes profile details, chooses the billing type, fills in the billing details, and finishes the setup before being redirected into the dashboard.
The tool side of the app is separate from registration. A tool user does not register through the signup page. The client user finishes signup and onboarding first, then prepares the client workspace and creates tool access for the people who will work inside the role-based tools area.
What the client should set up first
Before sending tool users into the workspace, the client should make sure the account details, company details, subscription status, and billing status are all ready on the client side. The client should also make sure the required tool access has already been prepared for the people who will be using the role-based workspace.
